Yesterday we strung the Christmas lights in the yard. We put new multi-colored lights over all the bushes and up and around the dogwood tree in the front yard. Then we put out a multi-section train that has a border of white lights around each train car. All of this runs off one extension cord that we run through the living room window, as there are no working exterior outlets in the front of the house. It looks pretty good – just wish we had put it all on a timer, because we have to remember to turn them on and off each night.

We are having a small and quiet dinner this year. Turkey breast and sweet potatoes, for sure. Plus some other goodies and then the pies.
Can’t afford to go on the road this year with all the other families heading “home” for Thanksgiving. But we will call them at my mother’s house around dessert time and wish them all well. Hope you have a nice turkey dinner, too.

Wow – this is a great Thanksgiving present – the Predators have won 7 games in a row. Tonight they beat the Colorado Avalanche – on the road. What a great game it was to hear on the radio! Go, Preds!
